Repairability & Durability Scores

Since January 1st, 2021, it has become mandatory to display the repairability score or durability score (since 2025) of certain electrical and electronic equipment to French consumers. Do you sell in France? This module is essential for you! The repairability score is a rating out of 10, awarded by the device manufacturer according to criteria established by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. It informs consumers about how easily an appliance can be repaired, before purchase. This measure was taken as part of the anti-waste law enacted on February 10, 2020. Since January 2025, the durability score has been gradually replacing the repairability score. It adds information about equipment reliability, meaning their resistance over time and therefore their lifespan. Consumers increasingly favor e-commerce sites that highlight products' repairability, in order to limit waste production and the waste of natural resources. Our "Repairability and Durability Scores" module lets you display the repairability and/or durability score(s) on product pages, as well as on product list pages. It also allows you to make available to your customers the presentation file of parameters used to establish the scores. Finally, by adding this sorting criterion to your search filters, you will allow your visitors to make their selection based on the repairability and durability of products.
